Red Alert – Take Action Now

Whitehaven Coal began clearing Forest on Tuesday, the 27th at the Maules Creek site and are clearing Forest and habitat at an alarming rate, right now.

We need all hands on deck up at camp

We need your help to stop this atrocity in its tracks. Together, we need to show Whitehaven we will not sit by quietly while they destroy this precious ecosystem. We must stand up and resist their disregard for life.

This clearing is for the box cut and marks the first step of digging the mine pit. It involves clearing forest and habitat, killing sleeping native wildlife in their homes.

Forest clearing in winter was not permitted because of the vulnerability of hibernating wildlife. The recent changing of the Biodiversity Management Plan means Whitehaven have moved forward with the slaughter and destruction of the over 34 endangered species that live in the forest.

This is a crucial time for action and there is still a lot we can do to stop them making this mine a reality. It is of the utmost urgency we mobilise in response to the threat and stand up for the local wildlife.
